Virginia’s Origin Story
Created in 2006, North & Found Interiors (known then as Welcome Home) was created as a resource missing in Rangeley. Virginia grew up in the family hardware and lumber supply business but always felt pulled to her more creative side. After exploring a career in music, she realized that home design was really her true love. While she and her husband lived away she studied architecture at Savannah College of Art & Design. When their longing to raise their family in Rangeley brought them home, it wasn’t long before they embarked on building the new business.
The community response to both Virginia’s eye for product and her sense of design was immediate. Within 10 years, a new space was built to triple the size of the original shop. During those early years, Virginia focused on curating products and merchandising the store in her own unique way, however, clients began to notice her acumen for style.
Today our 4000sf storefront attached to Rangeley Lakes Builders Supply serves the community with furniture, mattresses, window treatments, decorative accessories and all things interior. It also became apparent that to move toward the next chapter – a new name was critical. Hence, our rebrand in 2026 – North & Found Interiors.
Today, our primary focus is still sourcing and curating a fabulous product assortment. In addition Virginia has opened her design book and has taken on design projects for Maine developers and homeowners. Bringing forward her 30 years of construction supply experience as well as her 20 years in design, her clients appreciate her practical approach to creating home spaces.
